Each & Every Detail was created in 2005 by Wendy Kidd where she began by specializing in weddings. Her belief in providing each couple with loyal and high-quality service led her to create a company where she could do just that! She fell in love with the industry and jumped right in, volunteering on boards of local industry groups and taking on leadership roles to support higher standards in the industry. The company grew quickly and in 2009, Wendy added her first team members at the same time she became an instructor with the American Association of Certified Wedding Planners. Her passion for education helped create an amazing team of women who each carried on the tradition of helping couples plan the weddings of their dreams while having fun!
Today, Each & Every Detail is known as the premier wedding and event planning studio in the North Dallas area and is respected throughout the events industry in the DFW metroplex. Her team is proud to offer event planning services to all types of clients. She loves being their go-to resource, helping them create beautiful and fun moments in their lives. Keep reading to learn more about Wendy and her personal philosophies for becoming a successful wedding planner!
What inspired you to enter the wedding industry?
To be quite honest, I struggled with planning my wedding because I didn’t have a clear “vision” to follow. I’d never planned on getting married, so I was entirely caught by surprise! After working through the process, I realized that I could help others by making their planning process much easier and more enjoyable by being their guide and helping them create their own vision.
Why did you start Each & Every Detail?
I started with taking a wedding planner training course and then jumped in with helping a friend with her wedding. I also became an event venue manager in the process of planning her wedding and could see first-hand how wonderful it was for couples when they had a planner, but that it was rare as planners were not as available to clients of all budgets at that time. I continued my business on the side until it grew too large to do both, making it my full-time career in 2008. I've always loved helping people and this was just the perfect way for me to do this!
If you could change one thing about the weddings and special events industry, what would it be?
I'd love for more vendors to realize that community is much more important than competition. We all do things differently and have something to contribute and I wish vendors would focus on finding out how to support each other versus trying to “beat out” the competition.
How does using Aisle Planner help you deliver the client experience you want to?
We chose Aisle Planner not only for its fantastic features, but for the aesthetic. We’re in the industry of making things beautiful and we wanted our clients to enjoy looking at the software as well as using it.
What's your favorite Aisle Planner feature?
The contacts section of Aisle Planner is my favorite because it’s the most important! I love that you can see at a glance who your vendor team is and any payments due. You can open any contact to see all the details, proposals, invoices, and any notes on what's important with that vendor, as well as all of the contact info. It’s such a great collection of information!
If you weren't the Founder + Owner of Each & Every Detail what would you be doing instead, or what would your life be like?
I love to support others and to organize, so I’d probably be a life coach or professional organizer.
What are three things you never show up without on event day?
Water is essential for preventing wedding day hangovers, so I always have a bottle with me. My cell phone so I can keep in touch with my vendor team, and of course, my emergency kit for those all-important little things throughout the day!
What’s your personal philosophy on becoming a great wedding and event planner?
I think to be a great event planner you need education and experience. You also need to be a great people person as you have to communicate with all types of personalities. Know that life experience as well as what courses can teach you are both valuable in helping you support others in the crazy world of events.
What’s your trademark in the client or event experience?
Our trademark is that we don’t have one. We focus on our clients and bringing forth a vision about them, so each one is different and custom-tailored to them. You wouldn’t know just from looking at one of our weddings that we did it, because it’s not about us.
Is there anything you're particularly excited about working on this year?
Because of Covid-19, we’ve had to reschedule so many weddings this year. We can’t wait for these celebrations to actually come to fruition as they'll be even more celebrated due to the postponement, and these couples deserve such an amazing day after waiting so long!

What’s the most used tool in your emergency kit?
Safety pins! They seem to solve all kinds of issues, but especially dresses that show too much.
I’m dying to design a wedding or event…
With an unlimited floral budget! While I love the details, flowers resemble true luxury to me, and I'd have so much fun figuring out new ways to incorporate them into the design.
What’s one trend you think should be left in the past?
The bouquet and garter toss. I feel like it’s time they were both retired.
If you could plan any celebrity’s wedding, whose would it be?
Bethenny Frankel. I love her sense of style but also her practicality and personality. She does so much work for others and I’d love to be able to make planning and creating her wedding fun and easy.
If you could go back in time, what’s one thing you would change about your wedding?
I loved my wedding and while it was wonderful, it wasn’t very cohesive. If I could change anything, I would've changed it to a brunch wedding. I love breakfast foods and I think we would've had so much fun with the food and visiting with family and friends.
