Your Best Year in Client Experience

Your Best Year in Client Experience
March 01, 2016

As wedding pros, few parts of our job are more important than our interactions with clients. So, we’re focusing our efforts this month on creating your best year in client experience. To kick off March’s theme, we chose today’s quote because one of the most important parts of our jobs as planners is making our clients feel special (which, let’s be honest, can sometimes get tedious).

Think about it: as wedding planners, we deal with clients during the most exciting time of their lives. And, while we plan and execute multiple weddings each year, for our clients, this is the one shot they get at throwing the fabulous affair they’ve likely been dreaming of for years. Treating each wedding as an exciting opportunity can sometimes be a challenge when you’re juggling multiple events at once and are feeling burnt out. We can get bogged down in the stress of multiple weddings and forget that, from our client’s perspective, it is their wedding that is unique and that deserves special attention.

One of the best ways we can enhance our client experience, then, is through improved communication--this doesn’t have to mean more communication, but rather, more effective communication: better listening and stronger understanding (and more reliable tools to help you do both efficiently) are all key. Just as the quote implies, we should make each of our clients feel like they’re truly somebody to us — like, despite any other event we may have on our plate, theirs is the most important and special to us.

And, just as creating a better client experience comes from paying more attention to our clients and to our communications with them, it also comes from treating ourselves every once in awhile. After all, if you’re exhausted and your creative tank is running on E, your client experience will likely suffer. So, this month we’re all about making sure that doesn’t happen (so get ready to treat yourself). We’ll have helpful tips right here throughout all of March to ensure you’re making 2016 your best year yet in client experience. Cheers to happy couples and happy planners alike!
