Be Confident

Be Confident
January 03, 2017

2017 is officially here...and we’re still scratching our heads trying to figure out how that happened so fast. Even though it snuck up on us, we’re so excited for a fresh start and a brand new year here at Aisle Planner! This year, all of our monthly themes will revolve around the idea of Be Something, and we’re kicking January off with inspiration to help you Be Confident.

I especially love today’s quote, then, because it inspires us to think about confidence in a way we’re not typically used to. It reminds us that confidence doesn’t come as a result of being right, but rather, from the courage to be content with the possibility of being wrong. I absolutely love this notion—that a confident person isn’t necessarily someone who’s always correct and on top of their game but, rather, a confident person is someone who’s doesn’t allow the fear of being wrong to steer their every move. It inspires me to remember that confidence doesn’t come as a result of always being amazing, but simply from the belief that being wrong or even failing doesn’t mean you’re not amazing.

As wedding pros and business owners who often have to rely heavily on imagination and creativity to bring our clients’ visions to life, I think this is an especially great quote to start the new year off with. When we’re hesitant or unsure of ourselves, we tend to filter our ideas, which—in the long run—can really have an impact on the quality of work we produce. So, as we kick off 2017 as a community of planners, I want us all to download today’s wallpaper and allow it to inspire us throughout January (and the rest of 2017) to not let the fear of being wrong guide our work or steer our creative vision. Instead, let’s remember that confidence comes as a result of looking fear or failure in the eye and refusing being intimidated.

Cheers, Aisle Planners, to being confident in 2017!
